Does Nutritional Status Affects Oral Health Related Quality of Life Among Elderly? A Cross-Sectional Study at A Tertiary Care Health Centre, Rishikesh, India

Aim: Present study was conducted to evaluate the impact of nutritional status on oral health related quality life using Geriatric Oral Health Assessment Index (GOHAI) among geriatric population attending outpatient department (OPD) tertiary care centre in Rishikesh. Settings and Design: cross-sectional male & female participants Outpatients Department centre, RISHIKESH. Methods Material: Nutritional assessment recorded by Mini (MNA) tool. assessed pre-validated Hindi version questionnaire. Statistical analysis: Kruskal-Wallis Mann-Whitney U test were applied SPSS 22.0 Software. Logistic regression analysis done find out risk factors. Results: A total 281 completed questionnaire with mean age 66.89 ± 6.43 years. About three fourth (73%) at malnourishment. statistically significant difference (P=0.005) observed when median GOHAI scores compared (MNA scores). Conclusions: found between (GOHAI). affects elderly population.
